Welcome to the Lord's Pantry
We are a diverse group of individuals coming together to make a positive impact on our community. Our journey is fueled by compassion and a shared desire to help those in need. Join us in creating a stronger, more supportive community for all.
Who We Are
The Lord’s Pantry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, emergency food program. We work in cooperation with Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara. A ministry of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of San Jose, our mission is to feed the hungry and needy in our community, promote good health and well-being for our those who come to us, respect and protect our environment, and grow faith and love of the Lord.
What We Offer
Individuals are referred to us by nurses, teachers, ministers, etc, and the Second Harvest Food Bank's Food Connection Department. We support regular and emergency requests as well as those of the homeless. Our Homeless Closet contains homeless-friendly foods such as pull-top canned goods and packaged items that do not need refrigeration or a stove for cooking.
